Meatball Sub Bake

meatball sub bake

Ok, this is the easiest recipe I will probably ever post and that you will ever encounter that will taste this good. It’s really simple. So simple that you can’t possibly mess it up. Really. So give this meatball sub bake a try.

The Details

The prep time is 10 minutes or less. The cook time is 35 minutes. All this meatball sub bake requires is a 9×13 inch baking dish. And it serves up to 4 servings. I really can’t make this any easier for you.

The Ingredients

  • 1 tube of refrigerated biscuit (I like the layered flakey butter biscuits)
  • 1 jar marinara sauce (24 oz)
  • 24 frozen mini meatballs (I use the bite sized italian meatballs that can be found I think in the frozen appetizer section at Walmart)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

The Directions

Ok everyone, here is the first step for the meatball sub bake. It’s the easiest one I swear. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Easy right? Next the hardest step of this recipe. Open the tube of biscuits and cut each biscuit into eight pieces. Once you have done so grease the baking dish, or coat in non-stick spray. Put your cut up biscuit pieces into your baking dish and pour in the marinara. Make sure everything is coated so make sure to stir it around.

Now if you are me, save some of the sauce so you can cover the meatballs. Put in the meatballs. I usually like to put them in rows of 4 with 6 meatballs per row. Then use the rest of the sauce to cover the meatballs so they don’t get too dry. Top everything with the shredded mozzarella cheese. Then put it in the oven to bake for 35 minutes. Last but not least, the best part, eat and enjoy!
